[JOUR 1 –  JEUDI 14 MARS]

(FR) Ce championnat a débuté dans de belles conditions météo, pour les 30 équipages étudiants en course. Le soleil et le vent étaient de sortie dans la rade de Cherbourg, pour le grand plaisir des coureurs et de l’équipe mer. Ce fut une belle entrée en matière pour tout le monde. À l’issue des 15 manches courues depuis 9h30 ce matin, un premier classement se dessine et il est très serré ! C’est l’équipage de ENSTA BZH qui se hisse en tête. Juste derrière c’est l’équipage Cherbourgeois Unicaen 1 puis dans un mouchoir de poche, Univ La Rochelle et EIGSI. Rien est encore joué, il reste deux jours de course, la suite du championnat s’annonce musclée et intense. On attend tous les équipages demain dès 8h45 sur le plan d’eau, pour de nouvelles bagarres. 

(EN) The first day of competition got off to a great start, with the 30 student crews racing in excellent weather conditions. The sun and wind were out in Cherbourg harbor, much to the delight of the racers and the sea team. It was a great start for everyone. At the end of the 15 legs raced since 9:30 this morning, a first ranking is taking shape, and it’s very tight! The ENSTA BZH crew is in the lead. Just behind them is the crew from Cherbourg, Unicaen 1, followed by Univ La Rochelle and EIGSI. With just two days to go, the rest of the championship promises to be tough and intense. We look forward to seeing all the crews out on the water tomorrow at 8:45 a.m., for a fresh round of battles!
